Our Friendly Forest
Privacy notice
Effective date: [DATE]
This notice covers this landing page for President Predicto. It's run by [Our Friendly Forest legal entity name and mailing address] ("Our Friendly Forest", "we"). You can't buy anything on this page. When you tap "Buy on Amazon" you leave this site, and Amazon handles your order under Amazon's Privacy Notice.
What we collect
We don't ask for your name, email or payment details here. We do collect some information automatically:
- Ad and measurement data (Meta Pixel). We use the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms, Inc. When you visit, it can collect things like the page you viewed, when you tap a Buy on Amazon button, your IP address, browser and device info, and cookie or similar identifiers. It also collects which ad brought you here.
- Link service. Buy buttons go through a short-link service (LinkTwin) that may log the click, for example time, device and referrer, before sending you to Amazon.
- Sound demo. The "Ask President Predicto" demo plays audio files in your browser. It doesn't record your voice or use your microphone, and nothing you do in it is sent to us.
- Hosting logs. Our web host may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and pages requested, for security and reliability.
How we use it
- To see how our ads perform and how many people tap through to Amazon.
- To show our ads to people who visited this page, or to people similar to them, on Facebook, Instagram and other Meta services.
- To keep the site working and secure.
Third parties, cookies and similar technologies
Third parties, including Meta, may use cookies, web beacons and other storage technologies to collect or receive information from this website and elsewhere on the internet. They use that information to provide measurement services and to target and deliver ads. Meta's use of this data is covered by the Meta Privacy Policy.
Under some U.S. state privacy laws, letting an ad platform collect data for targeted ads may count as "sharing" or "selling" personal information, or as "targeted advertising." You have the right to opt out (see below).
Your choices
- Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, this page will not load the Meta Pixel for that browser.
- Opt out of targeted ads. Email [privacy contact email] with the subject "Your Privacy Choices" and we'll honor it. [Legal: decide whether a "Do Not Sell or Share" / "Your Privacy Choices" link and preference tool are required]
- Meta settings. You can review and change how Meta uses your activity for ads in your Meta ad preferences.
- Industry opt-outs. Digital Advertising Alliance (U.S.), DAAC (Canada), EDAA (EU).
- Browser controls. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some ad blockers also stop the pixel.
Kids
President Predicto is a toy a lot of kids love, but this page is meant for adults shopping for them. It isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
How long we keep it
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Meta keeps pixel data under its own policies. [Legal: add retention periods]
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information about you, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information. To make a request, email [privacy contact email]. We won't treat you differently for using these rights. [Legal: confirm which state laws apply to Our Friendly Forest and add any required details]
Changes
We may update this notice. When we do, we'll change the effective date above.
